The 4 biggest hair problems women. You can fight them naturally!
Although the term "typically Slavic hair" is a bit of a stretch, Polish women's hair nevertheless has a few common denominators. Most of us have medium-porous hair with a slight curl - usually bundled with the same set of problems. Hair loss, greasiness and dandruff are standard complaints in our latitude. How to deal with them? Get to know some natural ways
What hair problems do women have?
Although it is impossible to generalise, we find that the hair of Polish women shares many common characteristics and problems. Most of us have hair of medium thickness, with a twist (ranging from fine waves to curls) and moderate porosity (this determines how the scales are arranged on the cuticles and therefore resistant to damage). Hair in our latitude also often struggles with the same problems, such as dandruff, lack of volume, shedding or greasiness. Interestingly, it turns out that most of these are due to improper scalp care. Few people realise that hair health starts with the scalp. This is where excessive sebaceous gland activity, dandruff and hair growth problems originate and where the lack of proper cleansing and the destruction of the scalp's natural hydro-lipid layer are reflected in poor hair health. How to prevent this? Let us split hairs and look at all the problems mentioned in turn.
Problem 1: Oily hair
A scalp prone to seborrhoea is quite a care challenge. Daily shampooing, especially for those with very long hair, is a chore that can make life miserable. Hair that is greasy at the roots is often accompanied by dry ends. Not to mention the fact that aggressive anionic surfactant shampoos can dry out the scalp, which reacts by producing even more sebum. Thus, the vicious circle closes and we are left with a worsening problem. Therefore, the first point is to change to a shampoo that cleanses the skin in a gentle way.
Problem 2: Hair loss
Hair loss is a complex problem that can have various causes. It is often associated with illness (e.g. Hashimoto's disease), hormonal changes (e.g. after childbirth) or stress. In many cases, specialised treatment and the help of a trichologist is necessary. However, hair loss can also be linked to inadequate care of the scalp. It is very important to stimulate circulation and revitalise the hair shaft.
Problem 3: Dandruff
Dandruff is the most common scalp problem. It's hard to get rid of it for good because, unfortunately, it tends to recur and many anti-dandruff shampoos don't treat the causes, only the symptoms. In addition, this uninvited guest undermines our self-confidence and makes dark clothes go out of style. In the fight against dandruff it is extremely important to choose the right cosmetics, which restore comfort to the scalp and also have an antibacterial and antifungal effect.
Problem 4: Lack of volume in hair
Lack of volume is mainly a problem for those with straight, sleek and fine hair. It can also result from poor styling and scalp care. This happens, for example, when you use heavy, weighing-down formulas and use too many styling products at once. If you want to add volume to your hair, start by switching to a lighter hair care regime. The basis is a shampoo that cleanses the scalp properly.
