Keratin straightening of hair

Hair keratin has recently gained enormous popularity. Hairdressing salons are offering more and more hair treatments that effectively regenerate hair and improve its condition.
One such treatment is keratin hair straightening. This is a treatment with dual benefits. On the one hand, it allows hair to be straightened permanently, while on the other it replenishes keratin in the hair and regenerates it.

Keratin treatment - what does it look like?

Keratin straightening is not a complicated procedure. It involves pressing keratin into the hair using a special hair straightener. As a result of the high temperatures (up to 230 degrees maximum), the keratin is pressed into the hair, thus filling in the gaps.

The keratin is kept on the hair for about half an hour, after which the hair is dried until the preparation is completely dry.

Keratin straightening - effects

Keratin hair straightening is all about the visual effect. The hair becomes exceptionally straight and smooth. It shines beautifully and is easier to comb. What's more, by reconstructing the hair, keratin straightening makes the hair more manageable while being stronger and less brittle.

Women who complain of frizzy hair, especially due to humidity, also opt for keratin hair straightening treatment. Keratin for hair is also recommended for dry hair and hair that is exposed to frequent hair treatments and styling.

How long does keratin last?

Keratin lasts between three and six months on the hair if the whole treatment is done correctly. You need to choose the right type of keratin for your hair type, apply it well so that all the keratin is absorbed, and then close the hair's cuticles by blow-drying and finally choosing the right straightening iron temperature.

Can hair be coloured and cut before or after keratin?

After applying keratin, damaged ends should be trimmed to make the hair more manageable and healthy looking. You should wait two weeks before colouring your hair. This will increase the absorption rate of the keratin (the more it is absorbed, the better the effect) and make the keratin last longer on the hair.

Which hair care products should I use after keratin?

After keratin straightening, we should use cosmetics that will prolong its effect. Of course, you can reach for preparations from the manufacturer or look for a good composition on your own. Of course, avoid SLS, SLES, salt, herbs in the composition, and preferably keratin and proteins.
