Winter hair care

In winter, our hair has to constantly fight against the weather factors that negatively affect its condition: cold wind, snow and frost. They are also not served by frequent and rapid changes in temperature, dry, air-conditioned rooms and wearing woolen hats and scarves. As a result, our hair loses vitality and elasticity, and additionally faces such problems as excessive hair loss, split ends, dryness, brittleness and dullness.

Protect your hair from the cold

A beanie is an absolute must in winter. Yes, when you take it off, your hair often gets electrified and does not always look as we expect. However, we should ask ourselves: what is more important - health or perfect appearance? Frosting the scalp can result in damage to the hair follicles, which consequently leads to excessive hair loss. So, if you want your hair to stay in good condition, bet on hats made of natural rather than synthetic materials.

Proper care is essential

Prevention is better than repairing damage. This statement also applies to hair. Especially in winter, they require special care.  In addition to low temperatures and unfriendly weather conditions, hair in winter is also prone to dryness due to prolonged exposure to heated rooms and drying. Therefore, intensive moisturizing cosmetics should be used during this period. It is also a good idea to perform a scalp scrub from time to time. This will make the active ingredients from cosmetics better absorb into the skin and reach the hair roots, thus fully nourishing them..

Nourish your hair with natural methods

In winter we spend more time at home. This is the perfect time to give our hair intensive nourishment with natural oils.  Coconut oil, almond oil or flaxseed oil are all-natural substances that can be bought in almost any store. For this, their effects are extremely useful. Oils are rich in vitamins A, D, E and those of the B group, in addition, they have extremely valuable omega-3 and 6 acids, as well as proteins and minerals. How does this translate into hair condition? In addition to deeply nourishing and moisturizing the scalp, the hair becomes shinier, more flexible and stronger. In addition, regular massaging of oils into the scalp stimulates the roots to work more intensively, so hair grows faster.

Take care of yourself from the inside out

Proper care and protection of hair during the winter is, of course, essential. However, to have a real impact on the condition of our hair bet on the right nutrients. Only a proper diet rich in vitamins, combined with care will make hair healthy and strong. Ideally, the daily menu should include plenty of vegetables and fruits, as well as foods rich in natural fats. Unfortunately, access to fresh produce is quite limited in winter.
