Facial massage and its effect on the skin

Incorporating proper facial massage techniques into your daily skin care routine can be the secret to not only improved radiance, but also a firmer, wrinkle-free face. How: First, kneading the skin improves circulation, which provides more blood cells in the skin, more oxygen and better absorption of products. Some methods can also smooth wrinkles on the forehead and reduce stress and headaches, which in turn can minimize the resulting wrinkles.

Natural facelift massage methods have one thing in common: they involve specific, repetitive movements to stimulate blood flow, remove toxins and release tension. There are many massage methods that have been used around the world for centuries.

Improving muscle tone better supports the skin, lifting and softening facial contours, smoothing lines and wrinkles and improving overall skin health. Not to mention calming the mind. As with body massage, gym exercises or yoga classes, we know that muscles and connective tissue need support and work to keep them healthy and youthful

What are the benefits of facial massage?

  • It's a drug-free, non-invasive way to benefit your skin
  • Increases circulation, allowing the body to pump more oxygen and nutrients to the tissues, working beyond the face
  • Stimulates lymph flow, the body's natural defense system, helping to reduce swelling and speed up overall skin detoxification
  • Gives an instant glow and lift
  • Accelerates skin cell renewal
  • Good for mental health and relaxation.

There's a lot of tension and excitement on our faces, so take every opportunity to massage your product in using an oil, lotion or cream.

A daily extra minute massage in the morning will awaken blood circulation, improve facial contours and add a natural glow.

If you have five minutes in the evening, it will ensure a good night's sleep. You can, of course, do it for a longer period of time, about 10 to 20 minutes once a week for a real boost. An important aspect is the regularity of the massage.

The best time to perform a facial massage depends on your lifestyle. It can be in the evening after washing off makeup. Or in the morning before cleansing. You can keep the oil both in the shower and by the bathtub, so you can massage your face in the morning or evening and not have to worry about washing off excess oil.

oils

Which massage oil to choose ?

  • For very dry skin, choose argan or almond oil.
  • For moderately oily skin, choose jojoba or a mixture of jojoba and castor oil.
  • If you are afraid of using oil on your skin, use your favorite moisturizer.
  • If you want the oil to be warm, keep the bottle of oil in a warm boil before you start massaging your face

BEFORE YOU START:

First, it's best to avoid facial massage if you have very sensitive skin, rosacea, active acne or have been in the sun too long. Increasing blood flow and friction on the skin won't help and will likely get worse. These skin types require a gentler approach and more lymphatic massage than stimulation.

Lift and firming massage:

1. Start with clean skin. Cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser or oil, rinse with lukewarm water and then pat your face dry with a towel.
2. Apply a light layer of facial oil. The facial oil makes it easy to glide your fingers over the face, preventing them from dragging and stretching the skin. It nourishes the skin and lightens wrinkles and fine lines.
3. Massage near the corners of the mouth. A firming, lifting massage focuses on areas where the skin tends to droop. Use your fingertips to make tight, circular motions over the wrinkles on either side of the mouth. Always apply upward pressure to help lift the skin, rather than pulling it down. Continue for one minute.
4.Massage the cheek area. Use corkscrew-like circular motions over the apples of the cheeks to firm and lift this area. Gently apply pressure, moving your fingers up to the inner cheekbones and then to the edges of the face and back. Continue for one minute.
5. Massage the eye area. Place your fingers on the arch of the eyebrow, then move them around the outer corners of the eyes. Gently move them under the eyes and finish with your fingers at the inner corners of the eyes. Continue along the sides of the nose and along the eyebrow line. Repeat the motion for one minute. Massaging the eye area helps lift sagging skin and fight crow's feet. If necessary, use additional oil to prevent your fingers from sliding over the delicate skin around the eyes.
6.Massage the forehead. If your forehead has horizontal wrinkles that you want to lighten, you prefer to massage the lines rather than them. Arrange your palms side by side vertically, with your fingers touching your forehead. Make a zigzag motion, moving one hand up and the other down, so as to gently pull the skin on your forehead up and down. Continue this motion over the entire forehead for one minute.
7. Massage the eyebrow line. The vertical lines on the tip of the nose can be lightened by massaging them horizontally. Arrange your fingers horizontally across the wrinkles. Gently rub back and forth to pull the skin out of its usual position.
8. Finish by going back over each area one more time. Gently massage each part of your face again to finish the massage. Your skin should feel firm and youthful after the massage. Repeat daily for best results.
